S&L Intermodal, Inc. is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to join
our growing trucking operation. The ideal candidate is
detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to maintaining a safe and
compliant work environment.
Position Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation safety or similar role
Experience handling claims, accident reporting, and follow-up procedures
Knowledge of insurance renewals and certificate management
Strong understanding of driver qualification files and onboarding compliance
Familiarity with electronic logs (ELD) and Hours of Service (HOS) regulations
Ability to manage registration renewals, including plates and permits
Experience with IFTA and HUT filings
Proficiency in ProTransport software
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Responsibilities Include:
Ensuring DOT, FMCSA, and company safety compliance
Updating and maintaining all safety-related records
Coordinating training, coaching, and corrective actions with drivers
Investigating incidents and working with insurance adjusters
Overseeing audits and maintaining accurate documentation
